How to Apply and Remove Press-On Nails?

by LynEva 30 Oct 2022 0 Comments

There are two primary methods for applying press-on nails: one using nail glue and the other using adhesive tabs.

Gluing the nails provides a relatively firm hold but can potentially harm the natural nails, and the press-on nails may not be reusable. This makes glue application suitable for those looking for long-lasting.

On the other hand, adhesive tabs offer a shorter duration but is convenient for quick changes and nail reusability, causing minimal damage to your natural nails. This method is ideal for those who like to change their press-on nails frequently. With the right application, tasks like typing and opening cans won't be a problem.

Nail Glue

Application:

  1. Cleanse the nail surface with an alcohol pad to remove dust.
  2. Apply 2-3 drops of glue in the middle where the press-on nail contacts the natural nail, avoiding excess glue to prevent spillage onto the skin.
  3. Press for 5 seconds to ensure a secure bond.

Removal:

Use the dental floss to lift a small gap on the side of the press-on nail, add adhesive remover, wait briefly, and then gradually push it off.

Adhesive Tabs

Application:

  1. Gently buff the nail surface vertically using the green side of the fine-grained (thick) nail file.
  2. Cleanse the nail surface with the alcohol pad.
  3. Apply an adhesive tab that is the same size as your nail.
  4. Press the adhesive tabs outward to eliminate any trapped air bubbles.
  5. Remove the film from the adhesive tab. Insert the press-on nail at a 45-degree angle then gently press it downward. Hold for 10 seconds.
  6. Avoid water contact within the first hour after wearing to secure the adhesive tab firmly.

Removal:

Use the dental floss to lift a small gap on the side of the press-on nail, and gradually push it off. Throughout, you can add cuticle oil to protect your nails and reduce the stickiness of the adhesive.

Tips

  • To ensure better results, please start applying from your little finger, then move to your index finger and lastly your thumb.
  • Aggressive nail removal may potentially harm your natural nails, so please remove them gently.
  • We use the latest flexible fake nail with friendly C-curve that adhere closely to your nails. They also work well for flat nails. If your nails are noticeably flat, downturned, or upturned, you can use adhesive tabs to fill the gap.
